By the end of the programme students are expected to:

Have developed an enhanced understanding of contemporary issues in educational management.
Be able to understand national contextual debates in management of education.
Be able to identify barriers to positive change in the management of education.
Have skills of critical analysis of official documentation in educational policy.
Have an understanding of the appropriate research methodologies to study educational management.
Be able to review critically research literature in the field of educational management.
Be sufficiently aware of existing research literature and existing sources to choose an original thesis topic in an informed manner.
Be able to engage in critical dialogue about key contemporary issues in educational management and have skills of argument and dissemination.
